BWJ T.R.I.P.S. QUESTIONNAIRE
 Trip Routing Information & Planning Service

To participate in BWJ T.R.I.P.S. program:

  • 1. Email BWJ editor Stu Osthoff at stu@boundarywatersjournal.com to determine if your selected route is one he is familiar with. If you receive confirmation, BWJ can help with your route.
  • 2. Complete and mail the T.R.I.P.S. Questionaire along with a photocopy of a Fisher or McKenzie map of your proposed route plus a self-address stamped envelope to BWJ TRIPS, 9396 Rocky Ledge Rd, Ely, MN 55731.
  • 3. Helpful information will be noted on your maps regarding portages, campsites, fishing opportunities, current conditions and other interesting things to see and do along your route. Please allow 2-3 weeks for response.
  • 4. The BWJ T.R.I.P.S. program is a benefit for active 3 and 5 year BWJ subscribers. If not currently a 3 or 5 year subscriber, please extend your subscription to that level before participating. Thank you.

    *Please understand BWJ strongly encourages catch and release angling in canoe country. Out of respect for this priceless fishery and those who cherish it, we cannot send parties into small lakes who plan to harvest/have a significant impact on the fishery.
